The NSP
The National Ski Patrol is a nonprofit organization that serves as on-mountain medics. To become a patroller you must first take the OEC or Outdoor Emergency Care course. This will teach you all of the medical procedures that you will need to know, at the end of the class you will take an extremely extensive test over everything in the book. You also have to take a ski test to ensure that your ski skills are proficient. Once you have passed all of the tests you will finally be bestowed the honor of wearing the red jacket that commands respect wherever you ski.

Added Olympic Events
The Sochi 2014 Olympics marked a big jump in freestyle skiing. They added a mixed gender biathlon relay, ski halfpipe, ski slopestyle, snowboard slopestyle, snowboard parallel slalom, and women's ski jumping. The ski halfpipe was (in my opinion) the most interesting and fun to watch of all of the added events, David Wise took the gold in that. Another interesting event was the ski slopestyle which Joss Christensen took gold in. Alex Bilodeau took first in men’s moguls, an achievement that he deserved.
WME
You may have heard of Warren Miller Entertainment, also referred to as WME. The company was founded by Warren Miller in 1949 because of his hobby of videotaping himself skiing. He now has 64 movies and is revered by ski bums in many different countries. His latest movie is “Ticket To Ride” where he unites some of the world's best freeriders and carvers with world renowned telemarkers and snowboarders to make one of the best ski movies ever made.

Ski Styles
There are many different styles of skiing, The largest of these is alpine, or downhill skiing. That is when you take a lift up the hill and ski down. There are also different types of alpine skiing such as freestyle or mogul skiing. The next type of skiing is nordic or cross country skiing, That is when you go across flat land by skating, gliding, or pushing with your poles. The third type of skiing is telemarking, some people consider this a kind of alpine skiing because you are skiing down the hill, others call it a style of it’s own. The main difference is that the heel of the boot can come free like a cross country ski.

Ninthward HHP Park Skis
Theses are my Ninthward HHP Park skis, They were designed in part by Henrik Harlaut and are sold by Ninthward. They are great for any dedicated park rat, or as all- mountain twins. With a turn radius of 20.3 meters it is the perfect compromise between park and all-mountain. They are wide enough to handle low grade pow, but I wouldn't take them heliskiing. My only complaint about these skis is that the design peels off easily due to it’s sandwich construction.
